Trevelyan has made his fortune many years before in Egyt having secretly uncovered a lost tomb. He is killed during a major snowstorm when there are no olice available. There are several ossible susects including Trevelyan#39;s ward, James Pearson and his fiancée Emily Trefusis; his olitical agent, John Enderby; a journalist Charles Burnaby; a visiting American Martin Zimmerman; and several other aarently disinterested arties. A convict has also escaed from Dartmoor rison. Miss Marle concludes that Trevalyan#39;s murder is related to his days in Egyt and sets about to identify the murderer.
